The practice has been providing services to the community for the past 35 years. We moved to the new health centre in February 2006, and we now have more spacious facilities available. The practice reception area and the practice manager’s office are located on the ground floor, along with disabled toilet facilities and a baby feeding/changing area. The waiting area and consulting rooms are located on the first floor. Parking facilities are available for a small number of vehicles and the number 83 bus service stops nearby.
The surgery operates from the first of the LIFT Buildings to be built in Oldham, a building designed for service delivery to the local community in the 21st century, offering a new style of delivering services to patients across the Oldham Borough. It is fully accessible for all patients.
New service delivery also means a new way of working for staff, and patients will notice that a receptionist for the practice will not always be available to check them in when they have an appointment to see the doctor or nurse. A patient self check-in has been installed for patient use, reducing patients' waiting time when checking in for an appointment and freeing the receptionist to attend to other duties.
Patients can access the building by the front or rear. The car park is at the rear of the building.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE PRACTICE IS OPEN FOR YOUR HEALTHCARE NEEDS AND HAS BEEN SINCE THE START OF THE PANDEMIC:
We are having to work a little differently than you or we may be used to but please be reassured that we are here for you. We are and have been seeing patients face to face when the need is identified though a telephone consultation and we have in place excellent technology which now allows us to talk to you by a video link, ask you to send us a photograph if appropriate and text usefull links and information to you.
We have had to put these changes in place following NHS England Guidance and also to keep you safe from contracting the virus. We have also had to look at the safety of our staff and look at ways of keeping them safe so we have a full team here to assist in your heathcare needs.
We ask that you do not attend the practice unless you have been told to do so and that at present you use the NHS App to order ALL repeat prescriptions. Further information regarding the NHS App can be found here or on the internet, it is very easy to register and use.
If you need an appointment the staff will initially book you in to have a telephone or video consultation with the doctor or Advanced Practitioner who will then decide on safety and clinical need if it is safe and appropriate for you to attend face to face. If you are asked to attend please arrive as close to your appointment time as possible as we have a very limited waiting areas at present due to safety and infection control risks.

Dr Kiren Kaur - MB BCh BAO
As part of a national programme from April 2015 all practices are required to provide their patients with a nominated GP who will have overall responsibility for the care and support that the surgery provides to them, as a single handed GP practice the responsibility and nominated GP will be Dr K Kaur, this does not prevent or restrict you from seeing any other GP or Clinician at the Practice. If you have any questions relating to this matter please speak to a member of staff.
