As part of a national programme from April 2015 all practices are required to provide their patients with a nominated GP who will have overall responsibility for the care and support that the surgery provides to them, as a single handed GP practice the responsibility and nominated GP will be Dr K Kaur, this does not prevent or restrict you from seeing any other GP or Clinician at the Practice. If you have any questions relating to this matter please speak to a member of staff.

Business Manager

Debra Pryce

Debra has over 25 years of experience as a practice manager and joined the practice in 2015. Debra is available 4 days a week and is happy to deal with any of your queries about the practice.

Practice Manager

Iram Hanif

Iram joined the practice in December 2024 and has worked in general practice for the last 7 years. Iram is here to engage with patients and ensure staff are trained to the highest level in order for us to offer you the best service possible.

Practice Advanced Nurse Practitioner

Nicky Rigby (F)

Nicky joined the practice in 2023, Nicky works alongside our GP's and patients assessing, diagnosing and treating conditions of patients who attend our practice with a range of acute, non acute and chronic medical conditions. Nicky can refer patients to secondary care and other community services and is a prescriber within the practice. Nicky has a special interest in womens heath and menopause and works 3 days a week. 

Practice Nurses

Amanda Fletcher (F)

Amanda joined the team at Moorside in 2023. She brings with her a wealth of experience and knowledge in chronic disease management including diabetes, asthma and COPD to name but a few. Amanda was a midwife for many years prior to her move to primary care this means she is perfect to perform post natal and new baby checks at the practice with our new mums. Amanda works alongside our Primary Care Network as a clinical lead to ensure we have sufficient services in place for our community. 

Sarah Jones-Holt (F)

Sarah joined the team at Moorside in September 2022. She is a very experienced practice nurse dealing with chronic disease management and treatment

Health Care Assistant

Claire McGiffen (F)

Claire moved from reception/phlebotomy role to become our full time health care assistant.

She assists the clinical staff with patient reviews such as NHS patient health checks, hypertension reviews and rheumatoid arthritis reviews, alongside B12 injections, pneumonia and shingles vaccinations and bloods. She is trained to take blood from children and adults.

Community Paramedic

Sue Richardson (F)

Sue has worked as a paramedic with North West Ambulance Service for around 30 years. She brings with her a wealth of clinical experience to be able to support and triage patients. Sue's role is new to our practice and we are looking forward to developing her role.

Clinical Pharmacist

Sajid Hussain (M)

Sajid joined the practice in 2024 and looks after the majority of our medication requests, hospital requests, medication reviews in practice and in our community. In such a short time Sajid has become an asset to the practice working face to face and also through telephone contact with our patients.

Pharmacy Technician

Tariq Mehmood (M)

Tariq joined the team in early 2023, Tariq's main responsibilities are prescription administration, medication changes, hospital discharge reviews amongst other medication related tasks.

First Contact Practitioner

Chris Holloway (M)

Chris is a highly experienced and able to assess, diagnose, treat and manage patients with musculoskeletal issues. Chris gives the patients immediate access to physiotherapy, as oppose to the traditional process where a patient would have to be consulted by a GP first. Chris is able to treat, review, refer patients without having to see a GP first.

Secretary and Referrals administrator

Joanne Weston, Donna Mills and Diane Titterington

Joanne, Donna and Diane deal with all referrals and referral queries, they work very close with all the practice team to ensure any referrals are dealt with quickly and efficiently.

Administrator

Beckie Peel

Assists the practice manager on recall of all patients with chronic diseases, ensuring they have regular monitoring with the most appropriate clinical team member. She also oversees data quality within the practice.

Receptionists

Lauren Sealey, Diane Titterington, Angelis LaVantae, Carole Whittaker, Donna Mills, Ellice Heywood and Gemma Baddeley.

The reception team are trained to ask you for a brief reason for your contact with the surgery, this is so they can signpost you to the most efficient person/service to deal with your query or problem in the quickest possible way ensuring your care/treatment is suitable. Please remember you may not always need to see a doctor so we ask that you please accommodate this request. Our reception team receive excellent feedback from our patients and are always happy to help you.

Please be reassured that our reception staff have been trained to help you access the healthcare you require and to assist you upon your contact with the practice, the training includes patient confidentiality, GDPR, patient safety, safeguarding, customer services, signposting, red flags, Information governance and are also trained in basic life support.

The practice have a zero tolerance policy in place and do not come to work to be threatened or abused, please treat them with the respect they give you.
